Cudy R700 Multi WAN Gigabit VPN Router Connections Setup

Connection is the first step to setup cudy a Dual WAN load balancer router that should have the proper connection and choose primary and secondary internet lines as per your requirement or as per internet speed.

Unbox your Cudy VPN router and follow the steps to connect the internet line to use load balance and failover.

WAN1- Connect the Primary internet line that you want to use.

WAN2- Secondary internet line for failover or load balancing.

WAN3-  WAN 3 is changeable as LAN and WAN so if you have a third internet line you can use it as a secondary backup line or use it as LAN.

WAN4– can be used as LAN and wan.

LAN 5–  Ethernet 5 is fix Lan so connect your Laptop/computer or your network switch for distributing the internet in the network.

Login and Setup Cudy Gigabit VPN router

To login to Cudy R700 WAN router find the default login IP address and username password printed on the sticker.

The Default Cuddy VPN router IP address is 192.168.10.1  and the default password is “admin”

Open the Web browser and access http://192.168.10.1  or 192.168.10. and use “admin” as the default login password.

After login, first, you need to change the Ethernet WAN mode if you have multiple internet lines.

Change WAN mode- go to

General settings- WAN mode

If you have two internet lines tap on Ethernet 2 to change WAN mode and if more than two lines you can also change Ethernet 3 and 4 as WAN.

After change now configure WAN 1 and WAN  2 for internet line primary and secondary one by one.

Internet WAN Configuration for Multiple Internet Lines in Cudy VPN router

Now get ready with the internet settings that you get from your ISP or if you internet provider you must know internet details for both internet settings.

Follow the steps to setup the primary internet line.

Go to General Settings- WAN settings

Under WAN Settings choose WAN1 first for primary internet settings.

WAN 1- Select your internet type.

Protocol- PPPoE, DHPC or static choose your internet type and provide settings details.

For PPPoE use username and password and for Static IP address get IP address and, gateway details from your internet providers.

After the Main internet line setup now setup a backup internet line on WAN2.

Choose the WAN2 tab provide internet settings as per your internet type and save settings.

After internet settings now configure the load balancing option

 

Enable Load balance in Cudy R700 VPN Router

Go to General settings- Load balancing

Go to the interface option and choose your second WAN line for load balance.

Choose Policy to balance traffic load on both internet lines.

Change Cudy R700 VPN Router to Change Default Login Password

Cudy default login password “admin” that common and most used so it is not the secure password for your home internet.

Go to Advanced settings

Advanced settings-  System

System- Admin Account

Click on Admin account and you will get the option to change the default password.

Old password– admin

New password- create new login password and save settings.

Keep saving new login passwords and avoid writing on the router and new password required every time you want to change and log in your Cudy VPN router configurations.
