3: Client (Station) Mode

In client mode internet connection share using only physical LAN port. So you can use your WiFi router into client mode to receive internet wirelessly and connect a wired device in LAN. Client mode uses to get the internet from Main host wifi router wirelessly and AP mode broadcast the wifi signal and provide extended network range without using different WiFi name (SSID) and password.

WDS full form is Wireless Distribution System. In WDS mode wireless enable the interconnection from one router to another router to extend network wirelessly. WDS mode allows connecting multiple wireless radios to extend the network using WDS bridging. In WDS mode wireless router act as transparent bridging mode like a physical cable. It is used to connect two different locations wirelessly where physical cable connection not feasible. In WDS mode you can connect two routers to extend network without connecting the physical cable. 7: Ad-Hoc Mode

Ad-Hoc mode is a peer to peer connection used to connect two wireless device. Most of the WiFi router does not give ad-hoc mode as but you may see this mode in Windows PC and other operating systems.  ad hoc network does not rely on pre-existing infrastructures, such as routers in wired networks or access points in managed (infrastructure) wireless networks.
